How MonitorDog Works
MonitorDog Components
MonitorDog consists of two main components:
- PC Agent: Installed on the user's computer, it provides security functions to detect screen recording attempts or unauthorized access.
- Admin Console: A dashboard for administrators to configure security policies, manage agents, and monitor event logs across the organization.
Component | Description |
---|---|
🖥 PC Agent | Installed on the user's PC to detect and block suspicious behavior such as screen capture attempts in real time |
🛠 Admin Console | A web-based dashboard (cloud or on-premise) for administrators to set policies, monitor and control agents, and review detection event logs |
To enable protection, the MonitorDog PC Agent must be installed and running.
Once the agent is active, your PC is immediately protected.
Important Notes
MonitorDog Agent is a security software and has the following important characteristics. Please read carefully before installation or execution:
-
Always Running
MonitorDog assumes that the user is continuously using the MonitorDog Agent after installation and login, and operates as follows:- The Agent automatically starts when the computer is (re)booted and prompts the user to log in.
- PC usage is restricted unless the user logs into MonitorDog. Once logged out, the PC cannot be used for general purposes.
- The program cannot be closed through standard methods and can only be terminated via the Admin Console.
-
Webcam Activation
MonitorDog uses the webcam to detect screen recording attempts or unauthorized access in real time. Thus, the webcam remains active while MonitorDog is running. -
Network Connection Required
MonitorDog communicates with the cloud-based Admin Console to transmit real-time events, so an active internet connection is required at all times.
