Temporary Access

This page describes the Temporary Access feature in the MonitorDog Agent.

The MonitorDog Agent provides a feature that allows temporary access to the device without logging in.
This is useful in situations where login is not possible or when a quick task needs to be completed without logging in.

By clicking the button at the top, 1-minute access will be granted.
During this period, the screen is automatically recorded and sent to the administrator.
Once you log in, temporary access ends automatically, and the screen recording stops as well.

Temporary Access Overlay

Behavior and Details​

  • If you attempt to use the device while logged out, the login screen will appear along with a temporary access overlay.
  • Click the button at the top to enable 1-minute access. A timer will appear in the top-left corner of the screen.
  • During this time, your screen will be automatically recorded and sent to the administrator.
  • When the timer expires, access will be restricted again and the login screen will reappear.
  • Once you successfully log in, temporary access ends and screen recording stops automatically.

Q. Does the webcam also get recorded?

A. No, during temporary access, only the screen is recorded.
The webcam is only activated for event detection.
